Join the Healthy Cities community

It's looking set to be a big year for the WHO Healthy Cities project in Derry City & Strabane. At this very moment the World Health Organisation is assessing the city and district's application for Phase VII designation, and on there's so much going on locally across every phase VII theme: People, Planet, Participation, Prosperity, Peace, and Place.

That's why we thought it was the right time to start gathering everyone who cares about the health of our area, and the factors that influence it, to form a community that can keep the momentum going.

So what is our community all about? Well it's the best way to keep up with the WHO Healthy Cities project in Derry City & Strabane. For now you can expect regular emails full of energy and ideas, but over the coming year there will be opportunities to get more involved and connect with others, and we really want business voices to be part of that conversation!!

Our approach is all about making it easy for people to live healthy lives in our city and district and participate in making it healthier for others too. That covers everything from equitable prosperity to the health of our planet and the design of the places we all share.
